Liam is 3 Months Old

Don't you want to just kiss these cheeks?

I can't even believe it. I've made it 3 months with having two kids. I'm sure this is a mircle! It's got to be. I don't know how you moms with more kids do it. I'm absolutely exhausted and Liam isn't even talking or walking yet. He is such a joy to have in our home. He smells delicious. He giggles. He sneezes. He smiles. His poop even smells good. We just love this boy! He's a good eater, a good sleeper, a good cuddeler. He just might be perfect! Hope you all enjoy some of these pictures.

Yeah! Bath time!

Aint Life Funny Some Times

Our darling little Elias is a bit OCD. I don't know who to blame, me or Damien. The other morning we went to let him out of his room. (We keep a baby lock on the inside of the door so he can't get out and destroy all of our electronics in our TV/computer room.) Anyways, when we opened the door, he was sweeping his floor with his play broom that his Auntie and Uncle Mo'unga got him for Christmas. The catcher here is that he was completely naked! He taken off his p.j.'s, his onesie, and his diaper. He also managed to put his diaper up on the changing table, and his clothes back in the drawers they belong in. He then pointed to the floor where he peed and said, "Ewww. Gross."
On Tuesday, Damien received a phone call from the Orem City Police Department saying that Elias had escaped from the daycare center and we needed to call him immediately. I know right! You are thinking right now "Oh my gosh!" Leave it to Elias to be able to find a way out. I don't know if he's tricky or just has really good timing. How does this happen you ask? Well, his class room has a bathroom connected to it. That bathroom has 2 doors; the door to the class room and the door to the main eating area for the older kids. One of his teachers told him to go into the bathroom to get his diaper changed. Elias did just that, except he didn't stop there. He spotted the open door on the otherside of the room (like 4 ft away) and decided to go exploring. The other teacher that was in the bathroom already changing another kids diaper didn't notice that he had entered or left the bathroom for that matter. We don't know how long he was gone for, but sometime after enetering the main eating area, he wandered through another door into the main lobby area. From here, he managed to push open 2 more doors to the outside. Once he was outside, I'm sure he was so excited! Freedom! He made it out of the parking lot, to the side walk and was about to cross the street before anyone noticed where he was. Unfortunately, it wasn't someone at the daycare center who noticed. Accross the street is Geneva Elementry School. There was a parent walking outside and saw him trying to cross the street. Fortunately, she immediatley called 911 to report this young child alone on the street and raced over to save him. She brought him into the daycare to see if he was supposed to be attending there. The rest is history. Phone calls, irrate mother, and hugs and kisses to the little guy. We are so thankful that he is alright. We don't even want to imagine what awful thing could have happened.
So today is Friday. I've made it one whole week back at work from my awesome maternity leave with Liam. I do have to say that this week was much better than when I returned to work after having Elias. For starters, instead of Damien being laid off he was told he was moved to full-time status at his work. Secondly, I am not trying to pump/nurse while working. Pumping at work is just weird; let alone painful. And thirdly, I've been doing the daycare thing since June so I've had sometime to get used to having to take the kids to one. I of course would much rather stay at home with the boys, but the hand has yet to be delt. Someday.

Blogging Sucks

Here we are in January once again and of course it has been months since I've posted. I've decided that I don't like to post because I don't like how my blog looks. I don't like the generic templates that blogger has to offer and I don't understand HTML. So pretty much, I'm stuck with hating my blog and so I stay far, far away from it. Anybody have any suggestions?

Elias is 2 now!

For Elias' birthday, we got him this cute little 4-wheeler. He really does know how to use it. He just gets very distracted when I pull the camera out and wants to play with it. The vidoe of him falling off is how he likes to throw his curret temper tantrums. It just makes us laugh.
Damien practiced blowing out candles with Elias in preparation for his big day. All the practicing paid off!
He really enjoyed opening this present from Great Grandma Walker.

We are a little nervous to see how he's going to react to being a big brother in a couple of weeks. He does get very excited when he sees babies on TV or at the store, so hopefully he doesn't mind too much. It's not like he really has a choice in the matter; so hang on buddy as your world is turned upside down next month!

I remembered where I left my blog...

I can’t even believe how fast the time goes! There’s just no way it is almost June. Where have the last 6 months gone? I think I’ve been in a perma-haze since the holidays. Well, maybe since January when we moved to Nephi and my 9 hour work day turned into more like 12 hour days with all the commuting I have to do. It sure does make arriving at home that much sweeter though.
I love when I walk through the door and I hear Elias downstairs saying, “What’s that?” or “Mom?” Ahh, it melts my heart every time. Elias is becoming so playful, and attempts to constantly communicate what it is he’s wanting; for the most part Damien and I do understand.
His latest thing is to have us kiss him all better when he gets hurt. I don’t even know where he got it from because Damien and I never encouraged him to come to us for kisses. When he hurts his hands, he’ll come over and place them right on my mouth; when his feet are hurt, he tries to lift them up to my mouth. It’s so adorable.
We got him a booster chair, so now eats at the table with us. This is always quite an event since he still doesn’t have the hang of spoons and forks. He enjoys attempting to feed us when we’ll let him. When he’s done eating, he tries to distract us by tensing all of his muscles. I have yet to get a picture or a video of it. But it’s so funny. Show us your muscles!
Enjoy these adorable pictures of our little guy!

HALLOWEEN '09

Such a tired boy! These first three pictures aren't from Halloween, but they are so cute, I couldn't resist posting them. All tuckered out from playing video games with Daddy.I don't know if he's excited about wearing his new shoes for the first time, or because he's finally getting to go outside. Either way, I dig his grin and mis-matching jacket and pants. Note to self: dinosaurs and Mickey Mouse don't go together.Halloween begins at Grandpa and Grandma Mo'unga's house for my little giraffe!Damien tried scaring Elias with Uncle Aisake's mask.It didn't really work. As you can tell, Elias is smiling. Teane thinks this is because we tease him so much; he's become numb to anything we do.Damien actually agreed to carve pumpkins with me this year. YEAH! I think secretly, he enjoyed it too. It's a shame I forgot the candles to light. They would've looked pretty cool all lit up.Grandma Mo'ugna thinks Safety First and got this little light for Eli to wear. He of course had to make sure it truly was safe by testing it in his mouth.Back from Trick-or-Treating...mmmmm, CANDY!Great Grandma Esplin made yummy rice cripsy treats with chocolate covered pretzels...can you guess what Elias ate?The video is a little shaky, but you'll get the point.

13 months old

Well, I can’t believe that I officially have a child over 1 year old. We’ve enjoyed many firsts with Elias these last few months. Here’s a few to bring you up to speed.

1. First July 4th Celebration
2. First trip to the Hogle Zoo
3. First tooth; he now has 5
4. First steps without help; he’s still a little wobbly, but can handle his own
5. First funeral
6. First exposure to the swine flu
7. First family reunion
8. First 5 generational picture
9. First birthday, and eating cake by himself
10. First experience eating dog food
11. First time playing in a puddle

Some fun things Elias like to do:
1. Hide things under his pack & play
2. Takes imaginary binky from his mouth and hands it to you
3. Stands up in his push around buggy and leans on the handle until it falls over
4. Points and says “dat”
5. Throws the ball for the dogs; at least he tries, sometimes the dogs just take it from him
6. Tries to run faster than his little legs will go
7. He initiates peek-a-boo
8. When he gets tired, he’ll rest his head on my lap, or lay down on the floor
9. Tries to tickle us, and laughs while doing it
